20 September @ 12:27 pm

This is an events diary for the 2024 season. It will act as a single list of all the events that the Devon Region of the BMW Car Club GB will be organising / attending as a club along with events where we will not be attending as a club but may be of interest to members. The latter events will be noted accordingly and it will be for individual members to make the booking arrangements. Dates and details will be updated as they are confirmed by the organisers, along with being given their own dedicated event on the Events page if needed.

Please note that where events are organised by third parties i.e. not the BMW Car Club GB or one of its Regions, the information provided below is reproduced in good faith from those external sources. Where we are not attending as a club, it is up to those interested in attending to confirm that the event(s) are going ahead as shown.

If there are other shows/events that may be of interest to members, please email me the details at devon@bmwcarclubgb.co.uk

SEPTEMBER

1st (Sunday) Ugbrooke House Open Gardens, Chudleigh, TQ13 0AD. UPDATED 1/9/24 – EVENT CANCELLED.

A number of us turned up at the venue to find there was no event scheduled. There has been nothing from the organisers about a change of date or cancellation. Annoying to put it mildly!

A further update, with thanks to Graham for investigating the matter further. To paraphrase, this event was organised by the RNLI some months ago. They subsequently cancelled due support issues and possibly due to these issues, the cancellation didn’t get published as widely as it should have been. Ugbrooke will talk to the RNLI to prevent further disappointments.

From the Teignmouth RNLI website 12/7/24. “Run by the Teignmouth RNLI Fundraising Team. Individual entry. Gates open to participants at 10:00. Open to public from 11:00 to 16:00. Cars are to congregate in the main car park and then be led down to the showing area. There are a limited number of spaces on the tarmac frontage of the house and the remainder will be on the grass on the opposite side of the wall. All vehicles are to be driven through the grounds at 5mph. A steward will be on site to position the cars. Entry is £10 per car (2 people included) payable on arrival. Additional passengers £5 per head. All donations to Teignmouth RNLI.”

There will be the usual Food & Drinks available to purchase on site.

Looking forward to seeing you there,  Please pass this on to any clubs or individuals who could be interested in coming.
