This is an events diary for the 2024 season. It will act as a single list of all the events that the Devon Region of the BMW Car Club GB will be organising / attending as a club along with events where we will not be attending as a club but may be of interest to members. The latter events will be noted accordingly and it will be for individual members to make the booking arrangements. Dates and details will be updated as they are confirmed by the organisers, along with being given their own dedicated event on the Events page if needed.

4th (Saturday) May Motor Fest, Paignton Green. UPDATE 1/4/24 – EVENT POSTPONED UNTIL 2025 Response from the organisers:

It is unfortunate that we have had to cancel May Motor Fest 2024. As a result of remedial works planned on Paignton Green, we have had to cancel due to the space no longer being available to use. We have been assured that the event can take place in 2025. All ticket purchasers have been emailed which went out today and given the option of transferring their ticket to 2025, or emailing us if they would rather a refund.

BMW Sommerfest 2024 has been cancelled

We regret to inform everyone that BMW Sommerfest 2024 has been cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control.

We’ve been unable to overcome key obstacles in the planning phase to ensure the best outcome, and have no alternative but look to host the event at a later date. 

We apologise unreservedly to our members, partners and Thruxton for the inconvenience. Full refunds will be issued to everyone who purchased tickets.

Refunds will be issued automatically by Eventbrite. All monies will be returned to you, including any booking fees. Please allow a minimum of 5 working days to receive your refund.

If you purchased your tickets over the phone, we will be in contact by phone within the next week to refund via your payment card.

15th-16th (Saturday and Sunday) Le Mans. BMW returns to Le Mans in the top class (LMDh) at the world’s greatest race with the BMW M Hybrid V8, having won overall in 1999 with the V12 LMR. The marque will also be represented in the GT3 class by the M4 GT3 EVO.

18th (Sunday) Rover P4 Driver’s Guild Devon Group 11th Annual Car Show at Buckfastleigh, South Devon Railway. Individual entry. From their website Events (roverp4dg.org.uk): We cordially invite you to join us for our 11th annual car show. There will be a collection of P4s, other Rovers and other classic cars plus the Steam Railway to visit. You can be sure of a good West Country welcome with plenty to see and do. So why not make a weekend of it with Dartmoor only 3/4 hour away and the beautiful South Devon Coastline close by. There is plenty of accommodation to suit all tastes and pockets including camping.
