16 November @ 8:32 am
The original event was postponed due to HRH Queen Elizabeth 2nd passing. The new date is the 16th October 2022; a major change is that passes can still be purchased ref the link shown here, https://delapre-abbey-preservation-trust.arttickets.org.uk/delapre-abbey/2022-09-11-classics-on-the-lawn-exhibitor-pass . You must stipulate that you are with the BMW CC! Also the organisers have now included the option of pay on the gate £10/car(both options). Currently we are allowed 13 cars but are anticipating this to be increased to 20 BMW’s.
At Delapré Abbey, we’ve worked hard to create a visitor experience that we can all enjoy together. We’ve taken care to think about how to design and adapt our historic spaces by providing wheelchair accessible lifts and ramps, and accessible toilets.

We are in competition with MB for space on the Lawnwhich is a pride of display area. Would love to see a great BMW turn out, to outdo those cocky MB devils!
Its a great setting in beautiful woodland with a historical battle setting from The War of Roses (The Battle of Northampton was fought on 10 July 1460 on and near Delapre Abbey near Northampton).
Its a wonderful setting for the family with pre booked tours of the Abbey available and possible Tour of the Battlefield as well for the history buffs, see link too book your Abbey Tour : https://delapreabbey.org/tickets-bookings
Then there is the Orangery Tea Rooms and we can book a Group Table for members in discreet surroundings and far from the madding crowd. However the Orangery and public Tea Rooms will be at a premium on the Sunday, So if you wish to enjoy a Group Tea Setting I can then book a tea room, payment is in advance,
Tickets are not needed to enter the grounds or shop but access to the Abbey is ticketed. Tickets are priced £8 (with or without gift aid) for adults, and free for under 18s.

The Tour is of great interest and great fun and the Tour Guides are very good.
The success of this tour depends on Members pre booking in advance and informing me when they have done this.
