Our route starts at the recently refurbished Heighley Gate Garden Centre on the A697 near Morpeth, (NE61 3DA) and takes us on a scenic journey through Rothbury, Elsdon and on to Otterburn, where we head North to the Scottish Borders and on to Bonchester Bridge.
We then take the route south to Leaplish Waterside Park at Kielder Reservoir where we have arranged parking on the main slipway and lunch in our own room overlooking the reservoir at The Forest Bar & Kitchen.
