UPDATE 22/5/23 – EVENT POSTPONED

Notification received yesterday that the event has been postponed. The following is verbatim from the organiser’s email:

“Having agonised over this decision over the last couple of days, I feel that we have no option but to postpone the May 27th event. A number of people who had been invited as rally stars to the event have decided that they can not attend, mainly due to M5 holiday traffic. Sadly, also I had hoped that a larger number of local entrants would sign on, but that hasn’t happened either. Ultimately, the event, in addition to being a fun run out for entrants, is also an entertainment for spectators who pay to come, 20 rally cars simply does not provide that entertainment. Thank you to those of you have put faith in our events and entered.

Cars coming to be displayed has not been a problem – thank you to everyone who had booked in to do that.  This decision has been very frustrating, as the displays had promised to be very good, the rally car “stars” have presented me with the problem.
We are talking to the Racecourse about a new date, which we will discuss with potential entrants before confirming. However, if you would simply like a refund now, we will do that, or transfer your entry to another Lombard Rally Festival over the summer.
I am very sorry to have to make this decision, but I really feel that I have no option.”
