e39 528i – fairly rare 2.8ltr m52tu engine. Great example of an excellent car. 2 previous owners, almost every bit of paperwork kept from new. Been very well kept, serviced, and driven. Great runner, has some cosmetic rust in common areas. Recently had driver side sill rust patched and primed but not yet colour matched so that sill is black. Included in the sale are lots of OEM bits and parts including original headlamps, FAG rear bearings, control arms, bushings, spark plugs, cd head unit, 6cd changer and more. Bluebus unit installed for Bluetooth connectivity. All four tyres less than 500 miles on them as do the brake pads and rotors (replaced last August) and lots more. Only thing that doesn’t run as it should is the AC, suspect the pulley needs replacement, had a new compressor and hoses installed less than a year ago. Lots of history in the documents, but not mentioned is the engine was pulled and replaced at 27k miles in 2002 after first owner sold it back to the dealership (fault with the cylinder linings) and never reset the clock, so engine actually has approx 170k miles. (Around 202,000 show on the clock) needs a good valeting, otherwise very clean inside and out, never been smoked in. Reason for selling: family is growing, and need something with isofix, my time with this e39 is at an end, it’s been phenomenal. Absolutely the best car they’ve ever made. Open to sensible offers, not looking to make bank, just pass a spectacular car onto someone who appreciates it for a reasonable price.
