BMW Car Club UK

By Stephen & Jane Haslam – BMWCC Concours Coordinators

The BMW Car Club Concours is one of the most anticipated events in the calendar and the Board wishes to encourage as many entrants as possible to show their cars in what are always splendid surroundings at both Regional events up and down the country and our Finals at Gaydon Festival.

The purpose of this feature is to give entrants an insight into what the judges are looking for and hopefully answer any questions you may have prior to entering. First and foremost our concours events should be an enjoyable experience for everyone involved and although the business of judging is a serious one, it is the clubs objective to ensure that the outcome for all is in the spirit of BMWCC.

There have been some rule changes brought in for 2015 which can be briefly summarised as follows:-

Regional Concour :-

Each region is encouraged to hold its own regional concours event

Regional Concours’ shall be judged as one class with the overall winner being nominated to represent the region at the National finals in the Elite Class whilst the Runner-up will enter the Nationals Master Class. Regions may nominate up to a further two competitors to enter the Pride of Ownership class at the National finals but this will depend on numbers.

Any competitors within a region that is not holding a concours event will be eligible to represent that region by speaking to the regional chair for nomination.

National Concour Finals :-

At the National Finals to be held at the Gaydon Festival there will be three classes ie Elite, Master and Pride of Ownership which will comprise entrants nominated from their respective regions mentioned above.

As always space is at a premium at Gaydon on the hardstanding areas therefore we shall be limited to numbers thus making Pre-Registration MANDATORY. Whilst we shall consider taking more on the day we cannot guarantee a place for you if you have not pre-registered. You have been warned!!!.

The Clubs Rules & regulations, judging schedules, judging sheets etc etc are all now up-dated and available HERE
