Why should I join the Club?

People join the Club for many reasons – some just want to receive the superb 80-page full-colour magazine each month, others want to take advantage of the fantastic discounts on available to Club members for insurance, breakdown cover, servicing and parts at most BMW dealers and also at many independent BMW specialists. Discounts of 15% (and sometimes more) are also available on aftermarket parts from a huge range of suppliers. Many members take advantage of the FREE technical helpline which has saved several members many times their annual membership fee. Indeed, we would be amazed if you did not save AT LEAST the cost of your annual membership each year.
There is specialist advice from a range of specialist Registers within the club and specialist parts advice from a Club member who works in a BMW Parts Department. Each Region arranges its own events so whether it is a pub meet, Show & Shine, visit to a place of interest (Rolls Royce, Bentley and MINI are just a few) there will be something of interest, near you, where you can meet like-minded BMW enthusiasts.

Club members also benefit from getting access to the Specialist Database where you can search for a specialist LOCAL TO YOU. These come from recommendations from members, for members. Members also get massive discounts off a whole range of collectors’ model cars, books, workshop manuals, and a huge range of BMW-related regalia and merchandise.

Many insurance companies have Agreed Value policies and the Club can provide you with a valuation at a discounted price.  One owner who did NOT have an Agreed Value had his E30 M3 Sport EVO stolen and had to accept £13,000 rather than the true value of £45,000 which another member WITH an Agreed Value got when his was stolen!

For those who are a bit more adventurous we run several track days where you can explore the handling of your car in a relatively safe environment with advice from qualified instructors often given for free. Abroad we arrange rallies to the Champagne Region of France, trips to the famous Nurburgring and visits to the BMW factories, Alpina, Hartge and other BMW-related companies in Germany.

We also put on the LARGEST GATHERING OF BMWs IN THE WORLD every year in August.

How much is it to join the club?
£45 for single membership, £55 for Family membership and £75 for Corporate membership. Renewal is usually £5 less but renewing by Direct Debit means renewal is £10 less overall.
What do these membership categories mean?
Single membership is what it says – for an individual membership. Family membership includes BOTH partners as full club members but only one magazine is sent to the household. Children under 17 years of age can also be put on the Family membership but they are only “honorary” club members with no membership benefits or rights. Companies can take out Corporate membership for up to four people who receive their own magazine.
Can I get free advice if I am not a member?
Free technical advice is one of the many benefits available to paid up Club members. The Club Office will always help where they can with any questions that are QUICK to answer. You can see what you are missing by going into the Members’ Area where you can get a taster of what members get access to. Parts Finder IS accessible by everyone – this is a database where BMW dealers upload details of all the old stock they have which they will often sell for significantly discounted prices.
What is going on near me?
Even as a non-member you can go and look at our Events Diary and find out where things happen near you. You will be made very welcome to meet us at any event but you will not be able to display your car at shows, nor to take advantage of any of the other benefits of membership.
